We get asked all sorts of questions by brides, their mums and their closest friends. So here's a list of the ones
asked most often!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR MY GOWN?
We recommend ordering your gown around 9-12 months before the big day. This ensures enough time for fitting with our seamstress and so nothing is a rush!
WHAT PRICES ARE YOUR GOWNS?
Our gowns start from £700 and go up to £2500. If you're on a budget, we can arrange a sample appointment, where our designer samples will be sold off the peg.
WHAT SIZES ARE YOUR GOWNS?
We wish we could stock every dress in every size, but unfortunately the Bridal world won't allow us! Our samples range from a 2-18 with the average being a 12.
DO I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes. We operate an appointment only system in store, to ensure that our brides get the most of their time with us.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR APPOINTMENTS?
Unlike other luxury designer boutiques, Bridal Lane does not charge for appointments. We do ask that brides are courteous and let us know if they can no longer make the appointment.
WHO DECIDES WHAT DRESSES I TRY?
You do. Our stylists are entirely led by you. We give you 4 heart-shaped hangers to place your most loved choices and these are the ones we start with. Our expert consultants can then offer advice and bring in a few wildcard options for the open-minded bride!
HOW LONG WILL THE APPOINTMENT LAST?
You will be given a 2 hour, private appointment to try on our collections. Of course, some apointments may be shorter or longer, but a 2 hour slot is provided.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT SIZE TO ORDER?
Don't fret, we do all the work for you! We take full body measurements and these will be compared to each designer's size chart to ensure the correct size is ordered.
AND WHAT ABOUT ALTERATIONS...?
We do offer an in-house seamstress service. If you would like to see our own seamstress, we will arrange a time and date with you once your dress has arrived in store. The cost of these will depend on how much work needs to be done.
WHEN WILL I COLLECT MY GOWN?
Once alterations have been completed, the gown will be steamed or pressed and expertly placed in a bag for collection. This will be arranged to be collected at least a week before the wedding.
